The Lies of Sin

"To God be Glory and Honour; for by the redemption of Jesus Christ our Lord,
the Truth
is made available to us so that we may recognize the deception of the devil and to overcome him." - Benjamin Song

About Satan

Sometimes we tend to rely more on our own abilities, than depend on the Author of our Life. And we may feel proud of our achievements, and some even boast of their capabilities. This is normal human nature, for we are easily influenced by the enemy of God, Satan, who never stop to distort the truth and to keep us away from our maker. The Father of Lies assure us that it is absolutely alright to get mad, tell a white lie, curse at a fool. He tempts God-loving people to turn their backs against God, and welcomes liars, robbers and murderers. “Well how do we recognize the Devil?".

  1. Realize Satan's Identity. We often falls easily into the traps of the devil and gave in to temptations too often - all thanx to Sin.

    a) He is a liar and a great deceiver. He convinced Eve, the wife of God's first creation of man, to disobey God by eating the fruit from the tree of the knowledg of good and evil. In Genesis 3:4, the Devil lied to Eve that "You will surely not die". Satan incited King David to take a census of Israel.

    b) Jesus said in John 8: 44, that Satan was a murderer from the beginning and the father of lies, not holding the truth, for there is no truth in him. He led millions of people to death with his lies.

    c) Peter describes in
1 Peter 5: 8 that the Devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

    d)
Luke 4: 2 records Jesus was tempted by the Devil for 40 days. God does not tempt us, but the Devil does. And Jesus resisted all his tempting.

    e)
1 John 3: 8. He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work. If you do not even trust a robber, why do you trust the liar - Satan.

    f)
Relevation 12: 12 noted that Satan is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.
  2. g) Job 1: 6 mentioned that Satan means accuser. Satan accused Job - who is credited by God as blameless and upright, and as a man who fears God and shuns evil. In Zechariah 3: 1, Joshua the high priest is standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan the accuser is standing at his right side to accuse him. Furthermore Relevation 12: 10 mentioned Satan as the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.

    h)
2 Corinthians 11: 14 warns us that Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.

<An artist's impression of Satan is as followed: The picture was in the great vault of a room in a celestial palace. It was carved of diamond, emerald, ruby, jasper, amethyst, sardonyx, and chrysolite. Through the walls of gem, the stars shone brightly. But all of this was nothing, compared to the creature in the room. He carried with him power and majesty. He looked something like a man, but bore glory beyond intense. His face shone like the sun blazing in full force, his eyes flashed like lightning, and his hair like radiant flame. He wore a robe that looked as if it had been woven from solid light. In his left hand was a luminous book, written in letters of gold, and in his right hand was a sharp, double edged sword, sheathed in fire and lightning. 3. Identify Sin and its Lies. When you hear people say it is okay to have one night-stand, nothing serious to tell a white lie, okay not to fear God, okay to "borrow" some office stationery home, then be sure that these are not from God. "There is no fellowship between the light and darkness, nor evil with good."

    a) John 8: 34 teaches that everyone who sins is a slave to sin, and Galatians 3: 22 declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin. Sin is addictive, and we get into it easily with or without realizing. Gamblers will continue to gamble, shoplifters always looking for opurtunities, rapists on the watch for more victims. “Hey excuse me, I'm not one of them!" But have you ever lie, being selfish, being jealous or angry with someone? Galatians 5: 19-21 outlines these acts of sinful nature, and the wages of sin is death.

    b) Too often, people blamed their plight and faults onto God.
“Hey it's not my fault, it is God's. God is unfair. I'm just a minor case, compared to the worse sinners." They cursed at the Lord due to Satan's deceit.

The Devil assures the homosexual that they are not wrong, even though God firmly forbid them. He poisoned the minds of people to turn against God, distorted God's ten commandments, and rejected the Sovereignty of our saviour Jesus Christ. Whoever deny the existence of God is a advocate of Satan, and whoever exchanged the truth for a lie is his slave of sin. And the wages of sin is death.

  4. Therefore we should Acknowlege God's Sovereignty and humble yourself under God. Well i guess the most riduculous teaching is by the Satanists - each man can become god. Galatians 6: 7-8 warns us that God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The man who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction. Rather Ephesians 6: 11 teaches us to put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. The apostle Paul is a great example, and even when the messenger of satan tormented him, he depends on the grace of God.

For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, that is Christ Jesus. And we need to acknowledge God's existence. Jesus takes away the sins of the world. This website author believes that all our sins are washed away by true repentance in the name of Jesus Christ, but we, as mentioned by Galatians 5: 13, should not use this freedom to indulge the sinful nature. God has declared the doom of the Devil and his followers in Jude 1: 6-7. I am surprised that many churches does not teach the Book of Relevation, which reveals the fate of Satan and his followers ultimately, and Satan is trembling. Relevation 20: 10 declares that the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. But to God be Glory forever.
